Wild Items Are Occurring: The Artwork of Maurice Sendak opens to the community on Friday, Oct 21 and is on see until March 5, 2023.

Wild Points Are Happening: The Artwork of Maurice Sendak will be the 1st main retrospective of Sendak due to the fact his dying in 2012, and the most significant and most entire exhibition of one of the most celebrated and primary artists of our time. The exhibition is arranged by the Columbus Museum of Art in conjunction with The Maurice Sendak Basis.

The exhibition is comprised of a lot more than 150 sketches, storyboards, and paintings by Sendak drawn from the selection of The Maurice Sendak Foundation. Highlights include original work for Sendak’s most famous publications: Where the Wild Items Are, In the Evening Kitchen area, and Outside More than There. Sendak was influenced by writers ranging from William Shakespeare to Herman Melville.
